Look, you aren’t getting any younger, and people are not going to wait for you to catch up to them.
The time is now.
- You want to be great?
- You want to do more?
- You want to be more?
- You want to be at another level?
Whatever it is, woman, money, career, family, relationships, friendships, sports, hobbies, academics, whatever it is…you define where you end up.
Your mind is everything.
Think it and visualize it and you will start working toward it.
- You can’t just hope for better days.
- You can’t just think you’ll figure it out.
- You need to know what you want.
Do you ever wonder why when you’re in a rut, you often stay in that rut? Or when things are good, you feel great? And things get easier?
It’s a state of mind. It’s a feeling. It’s because your mind helps influence how you think, how you feel, and helps you either do things that help or hurt you.
There’s no better day to start working towards your goal than yesterday. The next best thing is to start today.
Whatever it is, just small little tasks will get you that much closer to the goal. Whether it’s just reading a paragraph, a page, or a chapter. Maybe it’s putting the shoes on and going on a walk. Or doing 10 pushups. Or shutting off the computer to focus on your work. Maybe it’s talking to someone. Or studying. Whatever it is. One small amount of action and effort is more than what you did prior and that adds up.
The more you invest in yourself, the greater you can become. But you have to know what you want and you have to take action.
You don’t have to have all the answers. And I often think many of us use that as an excuse for why we can’t start. We often say we need to figure it out or need more time or we just don’t know or we study more or we seek more answers. Whatever it is, realize that you will never have all the answers. And you will never know how to create the perfect plan or strategy until you start doing things because things happen that you never expect. And things are different when you are actually in the moment living it.
You have to do things. Maybe you want to do a lot of things. And this can clutter your mind. So pick a couple and do those. Then over time when you can handle more, do more.
Remember, you have to do things. You have to take action.
Visualize what you want. Not what you have if you aren’t happy with what you currently have. And don’t hyper focus on negative things that don’t make you feel good (optimistic, positive, hopeful). You want to make sure that you are in the right mindset that you strive toward your goals, don’t think about the things that hold you back.
If anything, use whatever negativity you are holding on to for motivation to prove to yourself that you can be better. It’s not about anyone else. It’s about you. You might not see it that way, but at the end of the day, you need to do this for you so that you feel good about yourself and your life.
Train your mind to visualize who you want to be. Start visualizing the things that you have to do, the things you may have to overcome and how you will feel as you are making progress and hitting those milestones. This is your time.
The time is now. Don’t wait. No one else is going to wait for you to start. And you shouldn’t keep holding yourself back.
