Let It Go and Focus On What You Can Control

The past is the past. Yea, some things suck. But what are you going to do? Stay in the past and keep crying? No, we don’t do that.

  • Maybe something terrible happened. There’s a lot of terrible things that can happen.
  • Maybe you lost your job.
  • Maybe someone made fun of you.
  • Maybe you heard some hurtful things.
  • Maybe someone broke up with you.
  • Maybe you felt disrespected.
  • Maybe someone spoke to you rudely.
  • Maybe someone treated you poorly.
  • Maybe life isn’t so good.

Whatever the fuck is going on with you, I want you to know, that you can’t do anything about what happened. It happened. And being honest about that, is the first step.

After you realize that you can’t change what happened, now we can start focusing on how to make things better.

There’s a lot of hard truths coming in this article, so I hope you’re ready.

I don’t expect you to be ready. You might not want to believe everything you read. Maybe you will challenge what I write. Maybe you’re right and I’m wrong.

Do you want the past back? Sorry, I told you, it’s in the past. You can’t go backwards. And you can’t make anyone do anything.

You can’t make someone else understand you. You can’t make someone help you.

All you can do is help yourself.
