You’re obviously here for a reason. And either you will take what is told to you and run with it, or you will say “there has to be another way” and keep searching.
The choice is yours.
If you want to talk to girls, you can. That’s the first thing. Know that you can.
But you have to be socially aware. If people don’t want to talk to you, no matter who it is, get the message and move on. Don’t become weird. And don’t take it personal.
There are different ways to approach and talk to girls. You can go direct, indirect, be passive, or friendly.
What you want to be aware of is you need something to say. That’s the whole point right?
After you say hi or hello. Then what?
After you give a compliment. Then what?
After you ask a question. Then what?
Do you see the pattern? You need to answer the then what part.
You need a follow up.
You may be wondering, what is the follow up? That’s up to you.
But if you want some guidance, which is what you are here for, consider not just asking interview questions but be more playful or engaging.
There is a technique called labelling that could work. Or you could talk about why you are talking to them.
And truthfully, sometimes the best thing you can do is be direct and upfront, so you don’t waste your time or theirs.
The ability to talk to anyone is a special skill. It takes courage. The ability to keep a conversation going requires being comfortable speaking with others, and having something to talk about.
People don’t really talk about the follow up. And that’s why most people get stuck with the advice they are given. “Just go up to her”, “just say hi”, yada yada.
It’s not that easy. The best to do it, have an idea of what they are going to do.
The best way to plan is to get enough experience so you get the proper feedback. But if you don’t have this, consider how the conversation will go, so you can have a good strategy.
Be Bold. Be Alpha.
