What You Choose to Do, Impacts How You Feel

You can focus on the negative and complain, hope for better, and do things that make you feel miserable and not great.

Or you can figure out what makes you feel good, what gives you a sense of purpose and accomplishment, what makes you happy, and what allows you to be more positive and happy.

A tip for those that don’t always do what makes them feel good is to create a list of things that do.

  • Create a list of things that you can choose to do when you aren’t at your best.
  • Some call it a Dopamine Menu.
  • You can call it what you want.
  • Just have it in mind or available for you to reference when you’re sitting there doing the wrong things.
  • Pick one, do it.
  • Don’t think too hard about it.

Not only will this help you feel better, it will create new habits for what you can do when times are tough and things aren’t going your way.

Maybe it will help with how you deal with negative emotions. Maybe it won’t.

What it will do is create better habits that serve you more than hurt you.

Feel good, be good. Be Alpha.
