Being Nice Is What Beta Males Do. It’s leads to a lot of negative consequences in the life of a Beta male. To counter this, you want to do what one would do if you were an alpha male instead.
What Does a Beta Male Look Like?
A beta male is a nice guy. They don’t have any distinct features that. you can say they are Alpha, Beta or any other type of male (or female). But they often have poor body language. Lack eye contact. Talk quietly. Lack confidence. And are not always very happy. But sometimes you can’t tell so don’t label anyone based on looks themselves. Base whether someone is a beta male based on their action and behaviors more than what they look like.
What Does a Beta Male Do?
A beta male acts nice to people but then gets angry at them if they don’t get something in return. Often times this is done not because the beta male is nice and kind but because they think by doing something nice they will get something in return. It’s manipulative, even if a beta male cannot understand why and how. Most people would see this as reciprocity, which it could be but there is a fine line between the two.
A beta male wants to be liked by everyone. They will go out of their way to be nice. Compliment everyone. Go out of their way and bend over backwards to help people. This is a transaction though. This is not because they are nice, but a nice guy. Also known as what we like to call a beta male. They are a people pleaser but again its because they want everyone to like them. They don’t want to upset anyone or make anyone not approve or accept them. They will mold themselves into whatever someone else likes even if it is not authentic to themselves, in order to be liked.
Beta males need and want permission. They do not take the initiative. They like to do what will make other people happy and please other people. They are afraid to do things that they want to do, that might not be what others like or approve of. In short, they don’t choose themselves first.
What Usually Happens When Someone Is A Beta Male?
Beta males are nice until they are not. They are people pleasers that normally want to do nice things in order to be liked and often want something in return but they are not explicit about it. They don’t express what they want, they expect you to know. And they want you to be as nice as they are to you, even when you did not ask for them to do anything for you.
Beta males will get angry and throw tantrums when they begin to feel used or believe they deserve something “after all they have done for you”. This is your red flag on beta males. Beta males are victims that are not genuine. They are not nice, they are nice guys, which is like saying they are fake nice or nice for a reason. Not because they are nice, to be nice.
If a beta male is not throwing a tantrum, they may resort to the silent treatment. You may not know exactly is the issue but they will not be happy and you will know by their passive aggressive behavior.
Why Do Beta Males Act Like This?
Beta males normally do what they do because they have been conditioned to. They were made to believe people pleasing was the way to get what they wanted and needed. And normally this is acceptance, validation, praise, and love. They feel valuable when they are needed. And this is why they put other people’s needs and desires ahead of their own. This ultimately backfires as we have discussed above in the beta male characteristics.
They can unlearn these things over time by learning better ways of coping and behaving but they need to want to change.
